Policies don't have to be complicated. The goal of a policy is to layout clear expectations for what management and employees are expected to do in certain situations while maintaining legal compliance. It is important to get it right and understand who is accountable for each component.


Policy creation is just the first step. A huge factor in compliance is ensuring all employees have been trained and that this can be verified and provided as required. It's great to have well written policies but for them to be effective it's important employees are aware of the expectations, why they are in place and how it impacts the bottom line.


Policies have a tendency to get complicated, but they don't have to be and often simplicity is the best policy. Let us take a review of your current policies. We can identify gaps in legal compliance and also help remove unnecessary administration and work they create. Simply because it's a policy you've had in the past, doesn't mean the work to maintain it is providing value to your business. Overall time is money and we can help you save both.  


The first 90 days of employment are critical for employers to set expectations and get new employees up to speed quickly so they can start creating value. A thoughtfully developed onboarding is crucial to success which reduces the time it takes new employees to become productive and leads to higher employee engagement. For many a handbook is a helpful tool to get basic answers to employment related questions. It's a great place to house key company information for employees and items that may not fit in a specific policy. It allows companies to showcase their vision and values with their employees.
